About me
I've been passionate about art since the tender age of 6. My first drawings delighted my family and showed early signs of talent. As I progressed through school, I explored various art forms including glass blowing, life drawing, still life, and sculpting. I earned several awards at county fairs, and upon high school graduation, was honored with the Bells Corners Art League Award.
My path led me to Sheridan College for Illustration, where I unexpectedly discovered wine making as another artistic medium. While continuing my visual arts practice, I refined my wine making craft and won numerous major awards at international competitions. Yearning to return to my visual roots, I began exhibiting at Science Fiction/Fantasy Art conventions in 1994, then opened a Tattoo Studio in 2008. After earning 17 awards through 15 art shows, I realized my true calling lay in mastering photo-realistic graphite work.
Today, I specialize in commission-based graphite portraits of animals, people, cars, and landscapes, though color work remains a beloved challenge. I'm currently immersed in a Canadian Wildlife series featuring owls, eagles, moose, and various smaller creatures.
My studio door is always open for custom commissions, living by the motto: "If you dream it, I can draw it."
